New year’s has long been and gone, but it’s never to late to set yourself some new goals/resolutions. So though that with the middle of the year fast approaching and still feeling like I haven’t achieved much of what I set out to do this year now was time to start.
Most of my goals for the second half of the year have something to do with my online work. I desire to have a profitable online business one day soon. I can’t stop thinking about how delighted it will feel to finally be able to work for myself, all while doing something I love. Wouldn’t it be great to be your own boss and write your schedule every day? I can’t wait to start working flexible hours. Who knows, I might end up making enough money to afford to start traveling.
I don’t usually like sharing my personal goals. However, I now believe it is a good idea to share with you a few goals that have preoccupied my mind for the last 18 months. I have not been the most consistent with my personal goals, so I feel that talking about them now will motivate me to start working on them finally. If you’d like to find out what my online and offline goals are for 2019, keep reading.
BLOGGING QUALITY & CONSISTENCY CONTENT
My main goal is to focus on my blog. I’ve been blogging on and off since 2013 but I have never been regular with it. So this year as I’m starting over fresh, I’m planning to be more consistent with my posting schedule, and I will make sure I share quality posts only. I never like to set schedules with my blog as when I do, I never seem to stick to it, but If my batch content writing goes as planned I plan to publish two posts a week. Make sure you follow me on this journey to see if I keep up with it.
CARING LESS ABOUT INSTAGRAM
Instagram used be one of my favourite social media platforms, but recently I’ve been falling out of love with it. Due to the presser of feel like you content had to be to a certain standard. I know you shouldn’t compare yourself to other or care what people think, but when so many people have these amazing curated Instagram accounts it’s hard to not to.So I’m just going to post on their when I feel like it and spend more of my time focusing on other social media platforms.
I WANT TO GET MORE FIT & HEALTHY
Another goal for the year is to become more fit and healthier. I started in 2018, but want to continue it into 2019. When it comes to food, my new mantra this year is “less is more.” So I will be eat less and exercise more. (Not that I’ve ever been a big eater over the years, I just want to cut down on my carb and the sweet treat intake.)
It’s all right to write because you love it? Hey, who doesn’t want to have a community of readers that can’t seem to get enough of their blog posts? So I will work on growing an adoring community around my work. I feel that ever since I started blogging, I’ve never really been part of a community, and this needs to change. So I will work on growing the community for my blog. So hopefully, one day soon I can get regular and returning visitors to my blog and make some online friends.
I’ve a been slack with YouTube over the past year, but once I move in to my new house and finally get my iMac back I will start post more regular as I really enjoying it.
TAKE TIME OFFLINE
I’ve noticed over the past few years I’ve spent far too much time online. So this year I will make more of an effort to switch off from the Internet a couple of nights a week.
I love hearing about other people’s goals, so let me know one of your goals?
